Description
The larch tree (Larix laricina) is the only conifer which is not evergreen, the needles turn golden each autumn before dropping.
Larch essential oil is new to the aromatherapy market. Larch oil is antiseptic, antibacterial, laxative, astringent, diuretic, hemostatic, vulnerary and analgesic. It is purifying and cleansing to the environment.
Wilding & Co will use this oil in commercial products, to infuse them with these qualities. There are many uses for oil in your home too—here are a few to get you started.
- Burn in an oil burner or as a steam inhalation.
- Use 4-6 drops in your bath to ease aches and pains.
- Use a few drops in your laundry detergent.
- Mix 10 drops into a cup of warm water and mist over household carpets to freshen.
- Use diluted on cuts, sores and fungal infections.
*Consult your aromatherapist or health care professional before using during pregnancy.
What’s the story behind Wilding & Co?
Wild pine trees are an introduced species that grow 20 times faster in NZ than Canada; uncontrolled, they’re strangling our natural environment; the toxic spray used to control them is itself a hazard. Yet, they’re a valuable, over-looked resource—this essential oil is the start of a much smarter solution.
Wilding & Co can contain thousands of wilding pines, every year, through the production of beautiful household and commercial products—based on natural pine oil.
By making use of resources otherwise wasted, we offer a common sense alternative to reduce further harm.
Once cleared, landscapes can be replanted with natives, and there’s an increase in natural flora, fauna and food sources for native birds and other animals. If not cleared, wildings will simply take over and smother our land.
